Simple Soccer Tricks: The Squeeze

Simple Soccer Tricks: The Squeeze

This is one of the most simple tricks to teach someone. This is a great trick to teach younger kids because it is quick to explain and do. To start off the squeeze you will have the ball placed in between your feet. Make sure your legs are spread enough where they are not touching the ball in the middle. Next you want to snap your feet together very quickly. Do this so your feet dig underneath the ball, don't just hit the middle of the ball.
Sean D'Arcy the world renowned juggler gives a great tip to help bring the ball up in the air, " The faster you snap your feet together, the higher the ball goes"(41). He also says that a common problem is the ball might go off to the side and not straight up (42). Just make sure your feet are same distance away from the ball on both sides. This trick is just to get the ball in the air in a easy manner.

Is a trick like this useful to anyone playing competitive or just something to teach to beginners?
