It says "Set your alarm for 15 minutes early and write for the duration of the time" (Fox Ch.7) so I set my alarm 15 minutes early. The first two mornings I hit my snooze button and just continued to sleep. The third morning I was determined to do it. Now the writing was absolutely awful and five minutes in I was ready to give up. I had two horrible sentences that were way too dramatic.
The book says waking up early can be good for you and has surprising health benefits like having a more definite sleep schedule (which I do not have by any means). So I decided to go all in. I tried it for a full week. Let's just say getting up early is not for me.
I'm kind of proud of myself for making it through all the prompts and somehow writing every day for what seemed like an eternity.
Now the question I have posed for myself is: Do I keep writing?
I don't know if I will, because at this point I don't see myself having a career in writing. I don't really see myself doing anything, but that's a different story.
So for me writing is an escape, it's where I channel my thoughts that I don't want to keep in my head, or the thoughts I want to share. I love to write I really do, that's why I chose it. Though at this point in my life I really don't have the strongest passions, not like I used to. So I will write when I need it, but that may not be everyday. And maybe one day I won't need to write, maybe I will have someone that I can share everything with or I could find a better way to express myself.
This whole thing was quite the experience, and I appreciate what it gave to me.
Do you think you will keep doing what you are blogging about?
Thanks for reading my guys (no one reads mine).
