Bacon Alfredo
For my first meal i made bacon alfredo.
The recipe is originally chicken alfredo but i decided to make the recipe my own and use bacon instead. This meal took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to make.
Ingredients :
1. 8oz uncooked linguine 2. 2 teaspoons of butter or margarine
3. 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 4. 1 pint of half and half or heavy cream
5. 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour 6. 1/2 cup reduced fat sour cream
7. 1/4 shredded fresh Parmesan cheese 8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
9. 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper 10. 2 12 inch slices of bacon
11. 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Recipe:
1: In 4 quart Dutch oven, cook linguine as directed on package. Drain; rinse with hot water. Return Duutch oven to keep warm.
2: Meanwhile, in 2- quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic; cook and stir 1 minute. In medium bowl, beat half- and-half and flour with wire whisk; add to saucepan. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently. Best in sour cream with wire whisk. Reduce to low; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until heated. Remove from heat; stir in 1/4 cup cheese, the salt and pepper.
3. Heat 2 12- inch nonstick bacon over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook, until no longer pink in center and crisp.
4: Add bacon, and sauce to linguine, stir to mix. Cook over low heat until thoroughly heated. Garnish each serving with cheese and parsley.
