A Lesson In Propinquity

Now you are all probably thinking "what the heck does propinquity even mean?", and if you aren't props to you for knowing the word because I definitely didn't. So for those of you like me it means, the study of how time and distance affect human behavior.
Chapter six was something that was hard to deal with, because it was centered around shutting off your phone, Which I, being a high school girl, have a hard time doing. If I was writing well it was easy to keep my phone off and away from me, but when I felt my writing wasn't good enough I would get more easily distracted. The Chapter says to "Put your phone on silent, or better yet turn it off for the duration of your writing"( Fox Ch. 6) which seems easy because I do only write for ten to fifteen minutes.
The rest of the chapter goes on to talk about removing bad behaviors from your life, like how you are always on your phone, or you refuse to share your writing or to socialize. I have a lot of bad behaviors, I touched on some of these bad behaviors (or habits) in my first blog post but I have plenty more. I will not go into detail because I have a lot and I don't want to embarrass myself. This chapter made me face some of them head on, and I am starting to fix some of them slowly.
How long can you go without your phone? How do you fix your bad behaviors?
Stay tuned my guys
