Quick foods, Quick Friends🍰
Everyone knows the best way to win people's hearts is through tasty foods, so join me on this journey through baking and friendship 😉
For my first baking experience I decided to start off with something easy, chocolate cupcakes. Since i don't know many chocolate cake recipes off the top of my head, I turned to the many, many, many, MANY cook books my mom owns in our pantry. After about 30 minutes of searching i chose "The Joy of Cooking" by Rombauer Becker.
HURRY-UP COCOA CAKE f
Preheat Oven to 350 degreesSift before measuring:
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1/4 cups Dutch process cocoa
Resift with:
1 cup sugar
Add:
1/2 cup soft butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 teaspoons double-acting baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat vigorously with a wire whisk or a rotary beater for 2 or 3 minutes.
Pour into cupcake pan and bake for about 1/2 an hour.
After 30 minutes, make sure to stick a toothpick in a cupcake to ensure the cupcakes
have been thoroughly baked.
Then let the cupcakes cool for around and hour and pick whatever icing you would like and ice
those delicious mini cakes up!
Make sure to save some of those baked goods to school to win over the hearts of your peers
and teachers!

Those cupcakes look very delicious! I like how you incorporated the ingredients and steps to making the cupcakes so your readers can follow allow with your baking. I love to bake so I'll definitely have to try this recipe out since the ingredients look very simple. I know that in most cook books, when baking you should sift flour or powder. But do you know why you're supposed to sift the cocoa powder in this recipe? Does it effect the texture of the cupcakes?
